Bret & Heather's Wedding

Congrats to Bret and Heather! We were lucky enough to take the whole family to their wedding and Emerson had a blast dancing and running around with her cousins! Bryce napped most of the time, but did get in one good dance with Mommy and Daddy and even Emerson joined in!

We Play...

Bryce is getting into laying on the play mat, sitting in the bouncy seat and lounging in the swing... thanks to Emerson who entertains him with funny voices and dancing animals! He still prefers hanging out in mommy's or daddy's arms! Emerson got her first pair of pretend high heels from Adam and is in love. The scary part is that she is really good walking in them. She has also taken to dressing up in anything and everything she can find. (We have been trapped in the house all week with it being so hot outside and Eric going back to work.)

Bryce's First Day Out!

Today we had an appointment with the OB to do some follow up, which Emerson insisted on watching. So she came back to the exam room were they were going to take out my staples. When Dr. Robinson came in Emerson proclaimed that she had to go potty and so Dr. Robinson actually took her! (Seriously the best doctor in the world!) Then Emerson watched the staples being removed and asked questions. The doctor said she couldn't believe a 3 year old was that into it. This is the same three year old who plays doctor everyday and took her stethoscope to the peds. We also took Bryce and Emerson to the WBC for the traditional after OB lunch (haha) and out to the Melting Pot for a first visit. No pics of Bryce from the pot, but Emerson was way excited to show off her big sis shirt and help do inventory!

Meet the Doctor...

Bryce got to meet his actual ped today with his first appointment. He is right at 8 pounds and doing well!

BATH!!!

Bryce is a lot calmer about baths than Emerson was. He is cool... till ya touch the face! Emerson has enjoyed being able to help. She takes pictures and we let her wash his arms and chest.

Hey boyfriend!

Bryce and Mama went home on Saturday after a pretty great stay at Lake West. Whether it was luck or the nurses taking pitty on me for using me as a pin cushion during the iv process, we had the best room on the floor and had amazing nurses. Bryce scored very high on his first battery of tests... all the nurses joked that he got his first A. A little yellow, but nothing to fret, he entered the world at 8.4 and went home at 7.11. While at the hospital we had Nanny, Papa Mickey, Meme, Papa, Granny, Ginger, Uncle Mike and Bill visit! Emerson was very excited to come each day and each day she learned a little more about her brother and that doctors are not scary!

Bryce McAlpin McIntyre

Bryce was born at 10:11 AM on 7/7/2010. He weighed 8.4 pounds and was 21 inches long. He looks almost identical to his sister, at birth, with just a little less hair which is a little more blonde. He is a champ... excellent napper, pretty good eater and really laid back- all of which will change just as we get use to it!

The last of my "basketball"...

The old adage that girls are spread wide and boys are like basketballs might hold some truth... at least from me. With Emerson I had no waist and felt like a bloated blimp all around (top pic). I joked with Eric that my back was pregnant! With Baby Boy Mac (bottom shotty pic that I felt I needed to take since we haven't taken any pregnancy pics yet) I have a waist and a large bowling/ basket ball strapped to my front. Bending over to pick anything up is a larger task than it was with Emerson. As of this time tomorrow I will be basketball free and we will be able to post a real pic of him, and a name!

Happy 4th of July!

Emerson had a blast on the 4th! After watching Uncle Mike and Daddy spend 4 hours blowing up her pool, she spent all day in it (Thanks Andy). The sad face was the result of Mommy telling her no more pool... but the little stinker went into it anyway in her clothes and claimed it was just a big "puddle". She got her first sparklers and then we attempted to watch the fireworks from our front yard, only problem is that we could only see a few of them through the trees. (Nice going. After spending 7 years in this house ya woulda thought we woulda known... 1st 4th at home... next year we drive up the street.) Unfortunately, the evening ended kinda quick for Emerson after running down the sidewalk and falling herself into one heck of a skinned knee (her first). We did learn that when in serious pain she uses "Eek" instead of "Ouch"!

Thanks Daddy!

I really thought 3 was a little young for falling victim to marketing traps. Oh well. Emerson is the proud owner of like 100 silly bands. Thanks to the staff at the Melting Pot and its customers, she has managed to have Daddy trade her up into some cool bands. Too bad she gave Andy the T-Rex!

Hello Farmpark!

Emerson, Nanny and Mommy spent a couple of hours at the Farmpark today... which was cool. Emerson got to pet some pretty cool horses (as well as ride a pony), sheep, lambs and other assorted animals. We think her favorite part was the milk and pretzel stop, but hey, she is three and milk and pretzels impress. On the way out Nanny got her a pink stuffed pig named Cotton Candy.
