Sleeping Beauty Part 2

The love of Aurora continues... Today we went to the Disney Store, with other things in mind. Then we found that the costumes were on clearance... and then 50% more off. Yes, I caved. Yes, Emerson is the proud owner of her very own Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella costumes. Guess Halloween has been taken care of... as long as she still has the love for the princesses come then. It took some pushing to get her to put it on, but then we had to dance, cook, dance, eat, dance and clean-up... she was one serious Sleeping Beauty.          

Happy 4th!

The 4th was at the Pope's this year and although the Sheriff shut down the fireworks... Guy and Mickey managed to get in a few rounds (along with Daryl). Emerson spent her first hour asleep in the car, Tony took her for a wagon ride and you gotta love Guy's accidental plaid outfit! Yet again, there was too much food, plenty of water guns and lots of fun!

Hilton Head!

We all had a wonderful week in Hilton Head. Emerson loves the sand (and doesn't mind how it tastes)! She was a trouper on our 12 hour drive with only a few stops! It was enjoyable for all and we look forward to going back again.

Savannah!

We stopped in Savannah for half a day. Just long enough to see the fountain, take a couple of pictures and eat lunch. The picture of Emerson with the sign is at the location that Forrest Gump's bench sat in the movie and the temp. in the car was how enjoyable the afternoon was!

Bye-bye Baby... Hello Big Girl!

Emerson has left the crib behind and is now in a big girl bed... with Sleeping Beauty sheets, of course.

The unavoidable has finally occurred. For months Emerson has been content with the likes of Elmo, Abby, George, Thomas and Lighting. But one day a little over a week ago she went to the DVD's and pulled out Sleeping Beauty and asked me to "Watch Sleeping Beauty, Mommy", and since then it has been a Sleeping Beauty blur. She professed her love for her (mind you she never used the word love till she loved Sleeping Beauty), sleeps with her, talks to everyone about her... and now Snow White has entered the picture. Elmo is still in the background along with the rest, but Emerson only "likes" them. Maybe this will pass, or maybe she is the girly girl that I never thought would happen. The pictures are of Emerson watching Sleeping Beauty and eating with Sleeping Beauty (while calling daddy at work).
