Emerson has been very lucky. Since her days at Ridge Pointe and now UM of Mentor, she has had amazing teachers. Since we were going to be gone for open house, her teachers had a private one for us after class one day. Nanny, Papa, Meme, along with us, were able to see all of her artwork, lessons and the like. Emerson just happened to be line leader that day and she was the only student to correctly estimate the number of candy corn within the tupperware (she told me she just counted them... well duh...). She loves school and is always talking about her teachers!

Thank-you Mrs. Teringo and Mrs. Lau!

Bryce is 3 months!
Time is a flyin' and Bryce is a growin'! Over the past month he has learned to pull himself up to the sitting position and he is currently pretty darn good at balancing himself on laps and with the boppy on the floor. Emerson worked on this when she was 4 months... not 2. Bryce is also tall enough and stable enough to do the jumperoo. We have a problem. At this rate he will be crawling at 5 months, walking at 8... ha! Seriously, the kid is strong as heck and very focused. Amazing. Emerson has also perfected her crazy faces... as you can see!

Ya gotta love a good playground...
Emerson has become a playground junkie. She loves them! Mind you, we have an awesome swing set in our own backyard, but she still loves the discovery of a new and bigger one! Over the past few weeks we have visited many around Mentor and we have branched out to Preston's Hope, which is an amazing playground. Tons of exploration, a sand pit and it is clean! I was tempted to start a playground blog just because we have been to so many!

I think I can!
When Emerson was a little over 2 months we put her in the jumperoo to try and make her work out the gas. We stacked pillows under and around her, but she still wasn't able to get it going. When Bryce was a little over 2 months I thought I would give it a stab with him. His feet touched the ground and he was stable enough to balance himself. He has been jumping and swinging around in it since!
I tried to find the pic of Emerson at 2 months in the jumperoo... but oh well. Instead the one above is of her at 7 months passed out in the thing!

Patterson's Fruit Farm
So we attempted to go and pick apples. Little did we know that they weren't "picking" that day. Instead we took a wagon ride back to the family fun fest area and Emerson had a blast playing on the slides, in the woods, on the tractors and in the hay. She loved everything, except for the corn maze. Can't blame her, it looked a little too long, even from the outside. Turns out that Patterson's doesn't make their own apple cider, it is made for them. It also turns out that if Emerson drinks two servings of it we get to spend a lot of time in the bathroom! We also discovered that the crates in the Patterson Fruit Farm store were stamped with another orchard's name, from another location in Ohio. Hummmm?

Happy Birthday Sleeping Beauty!
Emerson decided she wanted to have a birthday party for Princess Aurora. So we did. She helped bake the cake, picked out sushi, made a card, wrapped a gift (one of her dolls dresses... talk about regifting!) and sang. Bryce watched. I am amazed by this chicks creativity and imagination. She can sit and play with three dolls for an hour and just make them have conversations and dance and play doctor... amazing.
