Michigan!

Emerson, Bryce, Nanny, Papa Mickey and I all took a little vacay up to the MI. Lots of fun was had on the put put course as well as the swing set. The kids loved the Christmas Store and I loved IKEA!! There was only a small snag... it seems that Bryce's allergies don't like camping or don't like Michigan. Not sure. But the little man was covered from head to toe in hives. Once we got him medicated he almost returned to normal. No matter what, it was a cool experience.

For his second birthday we had a nice, small party.
A Choo- Choo train cake, a few presents and a hotdog is all it takes to make Brycee happy. He had a blast playing  with his toys and riding his new scooter!

Happy 4th!

After realizing that we could not see the fireworks from our front year... two years ago, we traveled to Tyler BLVD and got to actually see the Mentor Fireworks. Thank-you Mentor! They did an amazing job!

The Dancer...

Emerson has performed her last dance... for the time being.

I have to give her credit. She hated dance class. Every day, for a year, we took her to The Fine Arts and for an hour she practiced tap and ballet. She missed only once.

She hated it.

I don't know if it was the teacher or the situation or the students, but Emerson wanted it to end. And it did.

She had two rehearsals and two performances to cap off the year. We cut our vacation short and drove 80 plus miles an hour to get her home in time for the rehearsals... because they were mandatory.

She came onto that stage with the biggest smile in the world and left waving to us in the audience. But when asked if she wanted to do it again, next year, she declined.

The funny thing is that since that performance she has danced everyday... in our living room. She loves to perform, and dance, but hates the classes.

Oh well.

The Beach!

1.5 Weeks at the beach... 

AMAZING!

A few sand castles, a mermaid, a couple of naps...

Emerson...

Emerson loved Hilton Head, again. She could have spent the entire week in the pool or playing on the beach. One of the best parts for her was finding her friend Madison, and her sisters! Madison was from Pittsburgh and the girls had a blast playing together and Emerson (and Bryce) learned how to do a handstand!
